What Are the REALLY NEW Developments in NLPville ?

I've done TONS of trainings all over the place and I feel like I'm nearing the end of a long and winding road. The world is changing at warp speed, brain science is exploding with new developments and understandings.. so much so I can't keep up with all the new selections of mind watering, iresistible, tempting material released every quarter... whilst NLP seems to be phurteling along like a 1981 model Chevrolet with a bunch of gee gaws retrofitted from an auto parts catalog... inquiring minds want to know, is this creaky old model even capable of keeping up with the avalanche of new understandings and technical knowledge ?

Where is the best cutting edge new work being done ? Who is doing it ? How do they know which avenues to explore ? I so wish I could find something, anything in NLP that half gripped my imagination like NLP did when I first encountered it.

If I have to sit there and endure yet one more colorless, blah, timidly schooled, flabbily metaphored snorefest I shall run from the room screaming. Is this it ? Or is it just time for me to grow up and move on ?
